Chartwell Agency, an award-winning marketing firm based in northern Illinois, recently earned a Silver MACQUEE, a national award for credit union marketing. The MACQEEs are awards reviewed and issued by the Marketing Association of Credit Unions (MAC) for the best in marketing from around the country.
Chartwell received the Silver MACQUEE for the television commercials/videos created for Meridian Trust Federal Credit Union which is largely based in Wyoming, with additional locations in Colorado.
The “What Matters Most” video campaign shared real stories that underscore the personal connection Meridian Trust develops with its members. The video series shares the personal side of the brand, tapping into the sense of community and the value of the human relationships that differentiate the credit union experience. In the ads, featured individuals and families reflect how Meridian Trust keeps people at the heart of everything they do, from supporting dreams of saving for a child’s college education to buying a home to traveling the world.
Chartwell coordinated couch-style interviews with real Meridian Trust members, allowing them to share their stories in their own voices, reinforcing an emotional and authentic connection to the brand. The series included one long format, three 30-second, and two 60-second videos. Meridian Trust also developed an internal staff video aligned with the same concept.
