Catherine Povalitis has nearly 15 years of experience in marketing, public relations, fundraising and event planning. As a vice president at Chartwell Agency, she is responsible for assisting clients with strategic planning, marketing, media relations at a local, regional and national level, and social media strategy and execution.
Previously, Povalitis was the director of development at Discovery Center Museum where she was responsible for overseeing, designing and executing a comprehensive fundraising program through corporate participation and individual relationships, in addition to launching the museum’s signature fundraising event. Also, she was with the American Cancer Society where she raised nearly $2 million and led dozens of fundraising events. She was a two-time Relay For Life national award winner for event growth, retention, branding, diversity and leadership.
Povalitis volunteers as a mentor for KFACT (Keeping Families and Communities Together), a youth development and mentoring organization established to alleviate opportunity gaps among the young ladies attending Rockford Public Schools. She is also an active volunteer with Discovery Center Museum. Povalitis holds a B.S. in Liberal Arts and Sciences from the University of Illinois.
